So I needed help with cutting my dogs nails, she’s a squirmer and It was always a fight. I purchased this and thought if it hurts her in any way I would send it back but to my surprise it worked great. She fit perfect and it didn’t leave any marks on her. She actually seemed very comfortable. She didn’t squirm or cry at all. I actually purchased one for my cat and same effect on her! I don’t know why I didn’t get this sooner! Well worth the money!!We have 4 dogs of different sizes. This fit 3 of them in the 50-60 lb range. It seems strong.This makes nail trims so much easier! Less stress on my dog. I like how it came with a whole kitI have a chihuahua and a pug that both bite and fight when it comes to cutting their nails and trimming the fur in between their toes. However with this hammock, I no longer have to get a towel or blanket and fight with them. The only issue I had was finding somewhere to hang this but luckily we have a swing set that has a pole wide enough that this fits on. Once inside, they are limited to how much they can move. While they can still kind of move their paws, I'm still able to sit down and trim each one without having to break a sweat. The S hooks that this came with work for our small chihuahua but we ended up buying thicker ones for our pug as he's a little heavier. This can collect fur, especially if we cut their nails before a bath, but we found that we can either clean it out with a lint roller or just throw it in the washer. At first I thought this was going to hurt either one of them but it really doesn't. Makes it so much easier and less fighting when it comes to trimming which means less risk of hurting them accidentally.Large fits Daschunds nicely. Unfortunately, they're not completely docile hanging in hammock. I still needed helper to calm them, and unfortunately because of their anxiety, I had to settle with accomplishing two feet ? and wait for another day to complete task, but the hammock is definitely a HUGE game-changer!measured my cat and ordered the size the chart told me to. runs small. for a cat you really need a little extra fabric to curl around the shoulders. my large cat was able to pull his front legs out rendering it useless. returning. I might try a larger size. If you are purchasing for a dog, i think this whole idea would work better. cats, not so much.I bought this for my smallest dog. He's going blind so going to the groomer really scares him. I decided to try to clip his nails and stuff on my own. He's looking at me like I am crazy in the picture, but he's definitely calm. He's just hanging out so I can reach his nails easily. He can't run off or even kick at me so there's zero chance that I will knick him by accident.My lab didn't fit in the L or the XL properly. She absolutely hated it. When she was hoisted up a couple of inches off the ground, you could see the harness flexing, meaning that all of her weight was being directly put on her abdomen, and not across her entire body, as the image shows. I had to return both unfortunately.
