I've been using this sifter for a while now, and it does a very nice job of classifying my gold ore. Yes, I'm not using it for food. But it works nicely.The only flaw I see is the three springs which require very strong fingers to engage and disengage from the sieve. After three or four changes, the skin on my fingers becomes raw. I've started using rubber kitchen cleaning gloves which has helped.So far it seems sturdy for the use I've put it do. I'm hopeful it'll give me a few years of service before the motor fails. I'm guessing that the shaker motor can be replaced, and not need a whole appliance replacement.
