I liked that it came in little cartons. I could take out just a couple tablespoons at a time. My little dog Lucy is super picky, she only sort of liked it. No surprise, as she would prefer roasted chicken all the time. So I keep on trying different wet foods.Quality of the ingredients with no by productsThe only issue I have is the box it comes in. It’s messy! But because Levi loves it and does very well on it, I deal with the mess.I can’t attest to the taste but my dog Max gobbles this dog food brand up. Loves it. I’m not totally sold on the packaging - carton, tear off portion to open. I rubber band the container, usually keep in small zip lock.my dog won’t eat his dry food without this. I use it as a topper on his dry food. He wont eat all his food without this on there. It has great ingredients. One of the small boxes lasts about 3 days. The whole box lasts my dog about 2-3 weeks!My two little chihuahuas LOVE this pate, Chicken and Super Greens! I use this for 1/2 their daily meals and HK Base Mix w/ HK boxed chicken for the other 1/2. There are MANY reviews about smell. Read the ingredients list folks. It has salmon oil which smells like FISH. As for opening the box, seriously what is the big deal? Use a pair of scissors and open the box. Takes SECONDS. I cannot believe how many negative reviews are on here for the Pate meals! I am SO thankful for the Honest Kitchen!! No more home cooking, HK does it for me. As for cost complaints, you are getting HIGH END, HUMAN GRADE dog food. THEY are doing the cooking for me. So yes, there is a labor cost associated here. I for one do not have the time any longer to spend hours cooking my dog’s food.My 5 pound senior chi is a VERY picky eater. It's always been a battle to get him to eat a majority of the time. We first tried the dehydrated Honest Kitchen dog food and he wasn't thrilled with it. Decided to try this pate version and I'm shocked at how much he loves it! He actually comes running when it's time to eat, and that is unheard of for him. He's been eating the turkey and autumn veggies for about 5 months now and has yet to turn down a meal! The ingredients seem like good quality and I feel good about feeding this to him. We stick with the turkey and autumn veggies flavor because its the only one that is not grain free. It is a little pricey but we mix it with dry food which makes it last a little longer and plus it's worth it to have my little guy eating well.**Updating to add a tip - As soon as I open a new box I transfer the contents into a glass container with a lid. I find this makes it much easier to get all of the food out of the box because it's still in one big loaf more or less and comes right out. Otherwise it's difficult to scrape the last of it out by the end of the box.Makes meal time easy and fits our standards. Another brand we love is Just Food For DogsHe will eat anything with this, including his medication
