The flange converts to a bowl easily and it’s small enough to fit in a hip bag. It does not leak. The only issue is the mechanism to open and close the seal. It’s quite small and difficult to close once you’ve squeezed the water into the bowl. I usually just flip open the bowl, remove it and pour the water in with the seal closed. Very easy to use that way and the bowl is deep enough for dogs to enjoy a good drink.The product requires a continous squeeze to remain filled while the pet is drinking. If you stop squeezing, the water returns to the container. This could be difficult for someone with weakened grasp to maintain the squeeze. It can leak from the top when not fully 'closed'. All in all its worth the purchase, and my dogs enjoyed quenching their thirst while on the road and in nature.We trail ride and go up north often. This is perfect even for large dogs like my Siberian husky that likes to go with us. I just put some ice cubes in it to keep it colder longer and he can stay hydrated anywhere we go. Only one little thing I would fix is the twisty thing to plug and drain the water is hard to twist.overall a great idea. the knob to open and close the nozzle is hard to use... especially if you have nails. but when closed its leak proof. wish the bottle opening was bigger to fit a brush in for a better clean.Ok I'm impressed.
